I was just in the grocery store where I saw yet another example of stupidity in marketing. Next to the checkout line were bags of potting soil, with big letters stating “100% organic!” Either this company was attempting to be funny (i doubt it), or they believe that humans really are that gullible. Do they really believe that their customers are that ignorant, that some people will actually choose their bag of dirt over a competitors because they put the word organic on the bag? Sadly, they’re probably right.
